Clothes... My new addiction!

THE WARDROBE!

I've shared some pretty serious stuff on here, so let's lighten things up with a mini fashion show. I've got a new 'problem' because... clothes FIT and they LOOK GOOD.

Before, finding something to wear that didn't make me cringe was a rare win. Now?

I'm turning my guest room into a second closet. I love it all and can't seem to stop buying. LOL.

Swapped one addiction for another. This is my new happy place.

Stats:

Great to see an update! When I started on this medication, I immediately came to this forum looking for stories, and yours was one of the most detailed and helpful. It's nice to see the journey instead of just before-and-after pics.

Congrats on your success and keeping it off. I just bought some new clothes, too, and can't wait to redo my whole wardrobe when I hit my goal weight. For now, I'm rocking oversized clothes that are getting baggier by the day :)

OMG, same! I'm obsessed with fashion. For the first time, I have the body and the money at the same time. Stores must love seeing me walk in...

You look incredible! Did you have any extra skin after losing so much weight? If so, how did you deal with it? I'm struggling with that right now.

Wow! Losing over half your starting weight is incredible!

I love fashion and can't wait to express myself instead of hiding and picking clothes based on what fits.

I hope you bought that dress! It would look amazing on you.

Thanks, everyone! I've had a rough couple of weeks with no progress because I slacked on exercise (only doing half) and ate junk food instead of sticking to my plan. I'm halfway to my final goal.

I'm ashamed to admit I fixated on fitting into a skirt for an event, which I accomplished two weeks ago. I rewarded myself with 'treats,' and it spiraled. I came here for motivation to get back on track this morning and was debating skipping the gym again! You all have inspired me. PipNotes thank you - you look amazing, and I'm proud of you!

Congrats! I'm the same way! I've only been maintaining for about 4 months, so I'm still surprised when everything I take into the dressing room fits and looks good! The money I'm saving on groceries is going straight to my wardrobe.

This is so motivating! It's all about the clothes for me, too! 😂 I was at my lowest weight in my 20s and still have my favorite clothes stored away. I'm excited to wear them again!

You look fantastic! What an amazing achievement! ♥️

There you are again! As FABULOUS as ever!❣️

Your story and journey have captivated me since day one.

Wow, those pics! So fun to see them all! You're so darn adorable! 💥💥💥

You are just too cute! I loved seeing you and all the different outfits. My only regret is that I didn’t find this medication when I was your age at 78.

I totally get the excitement of finally being able to shop without limitations! It's like a whole new world opens up. But remember, the real achievement isn't just fitting into those clothes, but also reversing those pre-existing conditions like pre-diabetes. It's a complete lifestyle change!

Also, how have people reacted to your weight loss? Such a big difference must get some comments?

That's a great question! I've found that some people are incredibly supportive, while others can be... well, let's just say less so. Some folks don't understand the role medication can play and think it's 'the easy way out'. It's important to remember that this is a tool, and the real work comes from changing habits and making healthy choices.

It's so close I can almost taste it! I'm so close to finally being under 300 pounds! I haven't seen that number in like, a decade! It still feels surreal.

It's a mental milestone for sure.
