Coming off MJ...any success stories?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Disgusting pricing makes them impossible for regular folks. Want section for maintenance stories but nowhere near that phase yet.

i'm one of those reddit people who got scared — that's why i'm here reading every day. senior on fixed income so the brand-name prices scare me. i have compounded stocked and comfortable with that.

Talk to your doctor first. 2.5 → 5 → 7.5 and you lost 3% but think it's slow? How did you even decide this was for you? What are you actually expecting? I'm asking seriously — you need that convo before starting any of this.

happened to me too. my theory is these drugs just stop working as our receptors become non-responsive over time. started back in march 2022 and by november 2024 i had zero appetite suppression left. cranked tirzepatide to 15mg for a year, gave up in march, and i'm almost two months out. hoping a break resets everything.

was cranking up the dose, thought i could go higher, but around 15-17mg the weight loss kinda plateaued and i felt stuck. what dose are you at now for maintenance?

3 weeks at 2.5mg and the initial experience settling in is right where you would expect to be. 198 as a starting point is a number a lot of people here started at too. How much were you hoping to lose and what does the appetite feel like so far?

The 8-week calorie increment plan alongside titrating the dose down over the same period is the right approach for avoiding the rebound effect. Doing both simultaneously rather than just stopping the medication gives the body time to adjust to each new level. How are you tracking the maintenance calories as you build back up?

Finding 5mg as the effective ceiling and staying there is one of the cleaner titration stories - starting low, giving each dose real time, and only going up when the loss actually stalled. A lot of unnecessary nausea comes from jumping before the current dose has been given a proper run.

Ran mounjaro for a stretch back before it got popular, back when the manufacturer was handing out $25 coupons to everyone. Regained everything once I stopped. Definitely feels like a lifelong medication situation, but I do worry about how well it keeps working over the long haul.

Started off the same way honestly, but a full year in now and my body just doesn't react as strongly to the dose anymore. Held at 2.5, 5, and 7.5 for four months apiece, and now with a year on this medication under my belt I'm bumping up to 10mg.
