Compounding peps into caps?

I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere. Can compounding pharmacies take peptides that you buy online and encapsulate them for easier consumption? Or is that a no-go because they weren't prescribed by a doctor?

Generally speaking, peptides aren't absorbed well when taken orally. Injections are usually the only effective route.

I have some liquid stuff, was curious if a pharmacy could turn it into capsules.

I've never tried that. You could get empty capsules and fill them yourself. Sounds kinda tricky, but I know folks who fill capsules with vitamins they get in bulk from overseas.

I find measuring the liquid every day is a pain and takes too much time.

For liquid Cialis, it's generally around 20 drops per mL.

No way a compounding pharmacy will touch peptides you bought on the internet with your money. Those sites sell peptides for "research purposes only", meaning they aren't approved for us to use. I am not judging but a legit pharmacy won't go near them.

Just FYI - 1 mL = 20 drops when figuring out the dose of liquids.

Makes sense about the pharmacy thing, I just wish there was an easier way to take this stuff. The measuring is annoying.

Have you looked into GLP-1 medications? They are injectable, but people are having great success losing weight. Semaglutide is one, but due to demand, there can be shortages.

I've heard about Empower Pharmacy. I read they got FDA approval to make GLP-1 drugs like Semaglutide and can ship to all states. That could help with the shortage @Reese_2007 mentioned.

Be careful with compounded meds! I saw an FDA report where they found some problems during an inspection of a compounding pharmacy. It was an older report, but worth considering. It's important to do your research.

I agree with @SulphurBurpSurvivor. It's key to check out the compounding place. Check out the FDA website and search for inspections.

Done pre-filled syringes hundreds of times with zero problems. Sterile enough as anything. Keep them refrigerated though, max 10-14 days.
