Cracked 300 after a decade!

I realize most posts are about folks hitting the one-hundreds, BUT I've been lugging around 300+ pounds for about a decade. Can't remember the last time I saw anything other than a 3 as the initial digit on the scale so definitely celebrating this!

Welcome to the board! Just a friendly reminder of the group rules. No discussion of non-approved compounds, and no buying/selling allowed. Also, be cautious of unsolicited private messages.

That’s super awesome!!! I’m SO close to being under the 300 lbs mark. I'm really looking forward to celebrate that!

So happy for you!! I'm around your original size & been on this med for like, two months, and it's been pretty gradual for me. Hoping to catch up!
Don't get discouraged! Everyone responds differently. I've seen some people drop weight super fast, and for others, it's a slow and steady thing. Just keep going!

I've been reading that some people stay on these meds for the long term to maintain. Anyone have thoughts on that? My doc mentioned it's potentially a lifetime commitment for some.

Yeah, I had a friend who was on it for over a year for maintenance. She said she slowly lowered the dosage over time and did strength training.

That's incredible, BoldPal. I'm curious, are you also changing your diet and exercise habits, or is most of this weight loss attributable to the medication?
I'm also trying to eat better but it's a real struggle. The meds definitely help curb the cravings, which is huge for me. i'm walking more too.
