Crazy to stack GLP-1s with Metformin?

I'm relatively new to the GLP-1 game, but I see the huge potential. I've been on semaglutide for about 3 weeks now and have already seen some pretty good results. I’m thinking of stacking sema, BPC-157, CJC 1295 no DAC, Ipamorelin, and maybe even GHK-Cu. My main thing is to get leaner, but also pack on some muscle.

I've been on sema for about a month now with zero side effects at all. And I've taken other PEDs before, just not GLP-1s combined with peptides, so I think I'll live. But if I DO get sides, I'll just drop things one at a time weekly to see if they go away. Also, I'm only running like, 5 peptides with this GLP-1 and won't even start until I get my blood work checked on the 23rd so I have a baseline before the cycle.

Yeah, I got some advice on a telegram group, and that's what I've started doing. I'm currently on my first week of GHK-Cu. So far, so good.

I've been on metformin for a while now, and my weight loss has been all over the place. I'll drop 20 pounds, then gain it back, then lose ten... it's a cycle. I'm seeing my doc soon to get a prescription for Ozempic. Should I even bother staying on metformin? Is there any point?

You should ask your doctor that very question. You'll likely need to continue both when starting Ozempic because the starting dose is low. As the Ozempic dose increases, your metformin dose might decrease or be discontinued entirely.

Wait...people are taking metformin WITH GLP-1 agonists like Ozempic? That's news to me. Is that safe for everyone?

As others have said, it's a conversation to have with YOUR doctor. There are reasons for and against continuing metformin. Some people find it helps with blood sugar control, others don't need it once the GLP-1 agonist is at a therapeutic dose.

Chicken too after reading crazy internal balance effects. Water retention, blood sugar insulin messed some folks. Fasting only, not regimen, two daily sticks. Wolverine stack two weeks going further.

My doctor literally told me stacking is insane. And honestly after trying it too hard once and thinking I was gonna lose my mind sitting in a corner somewhere, I kinda have to agree with her on that one.

Metformin and sema work through complementary mechanisms - metformin on hepatic glucose and insulin sensitivity, sema on appetite and gastric emptying. The GI side effects can stack early but they tend to separate as the body adapts to each.
