Crushing it on the scale!

Hey all! Started on the injections January 6th, 2025. My doc put me on 0.25 for a month and a half, and since then I've been steady at 0.50. No changes to my dosage since!

SW: Around 240lbs (didn't grab a pic until Jan 16, 2025, sadly).

CW: This morning? 198! Finally hit under 200! Never thought I'd see that happen again.

GW: Doc wants me in a healthy BMI range, so like, 120lbs-155lbs.

I'm so close to being under 200 again! Only about a dozen pounds to go. Can't wait. It's been... wow, since 2012 maybe? Briefly? And before that, like, '95? Slow and steady wins the race I guess. I'm down about 20 pounds in 16 weeks! My goal weight is 180... I'm 5'10" and pretty solid. SW was 242.

Congrats on the progress everyone! Remember that these medications can have varying effects from person to person. A healthy diet and regular exercise, including strength training, can greatly enhance results. Some patients experience muscle gain even while losing weight due to lifestyle changes complementing the medication's effects.

That's so true! I've been trying to walk more. Maybe I should add some weights...

I've been lifting weights 3x a week. It really does help! I've been on my current dose for... almost a year now? The scale hasn't budged in months, but my clothes fit better and I feel stronger. Definitely seeing body recomposition.

That's an excellent point, RunFTW. Non-scale victories (NSV) are just as important as watching the numbers on the scale. It's amazing how much body composition can change even when the weight stays the same. Remember to take measurements and photos to track your progress, too!
