Dancing queen's weight loss!

I'm back in the studio! I honestly didn't think it was possible anymore. I can get through a full dance class now without feeling totally winded. I'm even comfortable in my dance clothes again. I’ve shed about 75 pounds in maybe 8 months? Started with a GLP-1 med to jumpstart things, but it worked so well I've stayed on a low dose (2.5mg) the whole time, with doctor's approval, of course. Feels like a new life. These pics are a year apart, almost to the day. Went from an XL to a medium. It's unreal!

You look AMAZING! So happy for you. Feeling good is the best part, of course. I bumped up to 7.5mg after half a year, but I'm sticking with 5mg for now before maybe trying 2.5mg or switching to a different med. These results remind me that even though I’ve dropped 35 pounds, I still have a ways to go! Another 40 and I'll feel unstoppable. Are you a professional dancer, @Snack_Go493? Did you study dance?

Wow.

I've seen tons of before/after pics, and this is one of the most impressive. Huge difference.

You look great! Enjoy getting back to dancing! 💃

Wow this is amazing! You stayed at 2.5mg through all that? Did you change your eating habits or exercise when you started or throughout?

Hey @Chris_79, Yeah, I stayed at 2.5mg the entire time! I did make some changes, mostly portion control and trying to eat more protein. I started walking more too, but the dance classes are the real workout! Don't be scared to start, just listen to your body and stay in touch with your doctor.

I also dropped two sizes! And I'm feeling awesome. According to my smart scale I even lowered my BMI! It's not just about the weight, it's about feeling healthier.

I agree with @Belly-B-Gone, focusing on overall health is key. I have lost about 9kg since beginning this medication. It's not just about the number on the scale.

I'm actually curious why you put that in quotes. No sarcasm here - I honestly waver between calling them medications or drugs. When someone finds out I'm on them and asks how I lost weight, I always enthusiastically say I'M ON DRUGS, because that makes me laugh. But in regular talk I can't decide which term fits best.

Just had a blood panel and my cholesterol is finally in the perfect range - huge drop from five years ago. BMI wise I'm not quite there yet but my waist-to-height ratio is perfect, which is what actually matters for my body. Mounjaro helped a ton but I paused to gain muscle instead of chasing that BMI number.

zepbound 15mg kwikpen is about 400 bucks with savings card at costco - highest dose pen available. count the clicks right and it lasts like 4-6 months.
