Dealing with loose skin after weight loss?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
A few people I know swear by GHK-Cu for tightening. Results seem mixed but worth exploring if loose skin becomes an issue on your journey.

The aging and elasticity piece is the part of the skin conversation that gets underplayed. The rate of loss matters but so does where you're starting from elasticity-wise. At a certain age and pace you're going to see it regardless of what you do. Hydration and resistance training are the two things that actually help - everything else is mostly noise.

Amazing work! Did loose skin end up being an issue for you at all? I've still got a good amount to lose and I'm worried I might need surgery afterward that insurance won't touch.

What's your current BMI? Just confirming we're discussing fat sitting just under the skin, not the deeper visceral kind? Is the skin still loose even after the weight came off?

There's some loose skin going on, most visible during a plank when it all droops down, but it's not extreme and mostly invisible unless I'm in specific positions. Lost a pretty large amount fast, and looking back, going slower probably would've helped. My target was 70kg at 170cm tall. Reached 65kg to leave some buffer room and have held there since.

Way better to deal with loose skin than carry all that extra fat around. I'm down a bit over 100 pounds from my heaviest, and the loose skin barely registers as an issue for me, even though it's definitely there. Carrying all that extra weight felt like being trapped compared to this.
