Hi everyone! I (27F) was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes a little over a year ago. I'd just given birth a year prior and packed on around 70lbs during and after the pregnancy. I also had gestational diabetes, but sadly, it turned into type 2, along with PCOS and Hyperthyroidism *sigh*. Anyway, I peaked at about 244lbs, and at 5' tall, it was really taking a toll on my health. I tried diet and exercise, plus two other diabetes meds (metformin and a different one), but my blood sugar didn't budge. I did drop maybe 10lbs with just diet changes at first. Eventually, my doctor and insurance approved Ozempic. It's been almost 10 months now, mostly at 1mg. My A1C went from 7.9 to 5.6! And I've lost a total of 64lbs! I'm around 180 now, with some weekly fluctuations of 2-4lbs. I'd like to lose another 30lbs to reach a healthier weight for my height, and I'm so happy with my progress and how much better I feel with lower blood sugar. Please be gentle, this is a bit scary to share...
