Did I take my dose??

Hey all. I'm new to this Ozempic thing. I had my first shot last week and I *think* I did the second one yesterday, but I'm drawing a blank.

I feel kinda dumb asking, but my ADHD is kicking my butt, and I can't recall if I even primed the pen yesterday when I tried to inject. I got sidetracked, and I thought I felt the stab, but I didn't get that cold feeling at the spot like last time, so now I'm second-guessing myself.

Does anyone know what a 1.5ml Ozempic pen looks like after one or two 0.25ml doses? That'd be a major help.

I've attached a pic. I can't tell if it's one or two doses. Also, I'm annoyed that there are only 4 needles in the box and I've already wasted 2.

Thanks a bunch!

I'M TERRIBLE AT REMEMBERING, SO I ALWAYS JOT IT DOWN right on the pen itself: date, time, and injection location (I go around my belly button: top, left, bottom, right). I also write down the number of clicks per dose and the total clicks (my pen has 300 clicks, makes the math easier).

Like today, it was:

Feb 6
10:07 am
Top
1 mg
31 clicks
93 clicks

Next week, it'll be:

Feb 13
11:25 am
Left
1 mg
31 clicks
124 clicks

When I start a new pen, I move my notes from the old one, just in case.

If you count the clicks loudly like I do, you'll know you loaded it before injecting.

One time I pushed the dose and pulled the needle out too fast without waiting like 7 seconds and the liquid sprayed everywhere haha

I have the same pen. You can see how mine looked after I accidentally took a double dose in my profile. I'd guess you've taken two doses already.

Wait and see what others say, but it seems like you didn't inject the 2nd dose. I picture the window in 3 sections, each .5ml. One section should be gone after two .25 doses. Also, you only prime a new pen once, so that's not it. Did you dial to .25?

I have the same pen, and for some reason this 0.25mg pen (1.5ml) seems to have more than the stated doses. I've been on Ozempic for a year before having to stop, so when I restarted at 0.25mg, I was surprised to see liquid left after my 4th dose.

I've seen comments about this grey pen holding maybe 6-8 doses.

Regarding injection sites, for folks using BPC-157 or TB-500 for injuries, remember injecting close to the injury can be helpful. Some studies suggest localized injections offer a more direct benefit, while others find subcutaneous injection into stomach fat is just as effective and safer. If it's more of a systematic approach you're seeking, oral BPC might be worth looking into.

I've noticed my pen looks like it has a bit extra at the end too. I've heard people use an insulin syringe to draw it out, but it seems like a hassle. Is it even worth the trouble for those last few clicks?

I've been wondering the same thing!

Thanks everyone! I think I'll just keep a closer eye on it. And yeah @Fit-Road, I definitely put the needle on, haha. I'm not *that* spacey. I appreciate the app suggestions, I'll check those out too. Maybe I'll try counting out loud like @Bee-IMO does, that might work!

Take eight kiu plus that D thing daily since late January, no effects noticed. Unless you're deficient don't expect rapid muscle and even then wouldn't call it fast. Bloodwork in couple weeks, expect I can lower based on that. Targeting around fifty with ten point margin. Capillary draws last month, all important labs venous going forward.

I take a multivitamin too. Seems low-risk and affordable, so why not? Also got on Vitamin D because my blood work showed I was deficient - totally correctable and super common. Definitely worth getting tested.

Sesame or WW take insurance, cash usually runs 299-449 per dose. Hundred-buck fee (or WW roughly 84 for six months) for provider assignment to prescribe.

no reaction for 14 shots going 2.5 to 7.5. shot 15, tiny red itchy lump 2 days later, gone in 2 days. shot 16, delayed reaction 1 day after—still here after 3 days. switching to thigh next time. weird timing w/ beach season!
