Do YOU see a difference? Am I crazy?

Okay, so a year apart, give or take. Same clothes, just 'cause. I'm 5'2", started around 165, now I'm hovering at 120.

I'm starting to think my friends and hubby are just trying to be sweet, but honestly, it's messing with my head. Makes me feel like I'm imagining things, and my body image is already a disaster. Someone please tell me you see SOMETHING?

OMG, HUGE difference! Maybe they need a side-by-side to jog their memory, since it's been a whole year? Otherwise, they're totally missing it!

Seriously?! You look fantastic. Did you show them these photos next to each other? I think people who see us all the time don't always notice gradual change. But yes, HUGE change, you look incredible.

Maybe they're thinking you looked good before too? Like, you carried the extra weight well? Honestly, if I saw someone every day for a year, I might not register the difference either lol. Congrats though, that's a huge change in pounds!

I wonder if people are just afraid of saying the wrong thing about someone's body? Like, if they say "You look great!" now, does that mean they thought you DIDN'T look good before? It's a minefield. They probably just want to make sure you know you're beautiful no matter what, which is sweet!

Anyway, I can definitely see a major difference in the pics. Congrats on the hard work!!

Thanks, everyone! I do see the change, that's why I was starting to feel crazy lol. It's probably just that they see me all the time. I appreciate the reassurance!

They may also be saying that because, honestly, you didn't look overweight in the 'before' picture. You seem to carry your weight well. While the difference is clear when looking at the photos, it might not be as dramatic as with some people.

ETA: You look fantastic, and congrats on your achievement!

That's almost exactly my starting weight and goal weight! I'm a couple of months in and down about 15 pounds. Plateaued hard last week. Any tips for breaking through?

Make sure you are drinking enough water, and consider increasing your protein intake slightly. If appropriate given any underlying health conditions, you can also increase your exercise. Sometimes a small dose adjustment can also help, but talk to your doctor first!
