...or can everyone else still actually drink? Because drinking still happens here, just without getting properly 'drunk' anymore.
Never really was a heavy drinker, but always had a complicated relationship with it, the 'one is never enough' kind, and there's a family history of alcoholism too.
Started mounjaro two weeks back and the buzzy part of drinking vanished almost instantly. Drinks still happen, but that intoxicated feeling just doesn't show up anymore. Having more than one still shows physically, standing up makes that obvious, but the mental side just isn't there. No craving for more either, like the mental effect got disconnected from the physical one entirely.
Only two weeks in, but if this holds, this might genuinely be the cure for something that's always felt hereditary and unbeatable. Still wondering though, is this just what normal people always experienced with alcohol, and mounjaro simply leveled the playing field?
