Dosing quandaries...

Shot day is almost here and it's about to be my first injection from a new supplier! I've been cruising on 2.5mg of a compound, but the appetite suppression has vanished, and the food cravings are back in full force. I'm staring at a 30mg vial ready to go.

I'm debating:

A) Sticking with 2.5mg for one more week using this new source to see how it compares, then doing 4 weeks at 5mg, which would leave me with 7.5mg for week 6.

B) Jumping straight to 5mg since 2.5mg isn't cutting it anymore, giving me six 5mg doses from this vial.

Any thoughts? What would you do? With these cravings, I'm even tempted to move my shot day up a bit (it's usually Tuesday mornings).
 
At that dosage the extra amount in the vial could have an impact. You should double-check the certificate of analysis. Depending on the seller, the total might be closer to 35-36mg.

If you've been on 2.5mg for a while and haven't had any adverse reactions, bumping up a few days early shouldn't cause any major issues.

You might not even need to go all the way up to 7.5mg with this vial, depending on how it works for you.

And yes, lots of water and protein can really help with the hunger.
 
Just a reminder that doing it that often would put you at significantly more than 5mg a week.
 
My doctor had me go from 2.5 to 5 after a month, then to 7.5 each week. But splitting the dose just worked better with my body, since I'd get hungry after 3-4 days. It's not for everyone, but it did the trick for me.
 
You don't have to increase the dose by 2.5mg increments. You could increase by smaller increments, like 0.5mg each week, until you find a balance where you have appetite suppression without too many side effects. Those 2.5mg steps are just what they used in the clinical trials for the official medications.
 
I agree with PlateauCrusher. Micro-dosing using pen clicks is so helpful. I've been on 1mg for a couple months now and am barely losing anything. Thinking about splitting my dose and doing 0.5 every four days...
 
Hey Compound_Goals, if you want to bump up the weight loss, consider increasing your dose slightly instead of splitting. You could try two doses of 0.65mg per week using the pen clicks.
 
I'm impressed with everyone's progress. It's encouraging to see people finding success at all doses. I know someone who stayed on a tiny dose for a long time!
 
Waning suppression at dose is tachyphylaxis - stepping up or checking source quality is the response.
 
just started my first dose at 2.5mg, congrats on starting! what dose are you at? i'm type 2 and insulin resistant so probably won't lose as fast as everyone but hoping for the best.
 
you nailed it though. low dose, food noise creeping back in—that's the actual problem staring at you right there. the solution's obvious, you just don't want it yet.
 
Started 335-340, A1C mid-six range. A1C dropped to 5.8 and finally under 300 on the scale for the first time in forever. Don't see much physical change but people say it shows in my face.
