Down 100+ lbs - Feels unreal!

Regarding skin elasticity after significant weight loss, several factors play a role. Age, genetics, and the speed of weight loss can all impact how well the skin retracts. Maintaining adequate hydration, a protein-rich diet, and incorporating collagen-boosting foods may help.

BMI of 38 as the goal based on current lean mass is a much more sophisticated target than just a weight number - it accounts for what the body actually consists of rather than a population average. Another 100 lbs from wherever you are now and seeing what the composition looks like is the right approach. 260 to under 160 in the OP is the kind of result that shows it's doable.

Like the direction of focusing on building muscle instead. Landing closer to a prior weight but with a different body composition percentage could genuinely still look and feel great. Different frames definitely carry weight differently, totally get that part. Talking to a professional's solid advice worth taking seriously.

Thank you! Been mostly lucky honestly. Some looseness on the stomach and a bit on the arms, but nothing severe.
Hoping some training helps tighten things up or builds enough muscle to fill the arms back out.

Good luck on your own journey!

Wish this had started so much sooner, 100 pounds gone and feeling fantastic. Hair went seriously thin somewhere around months six through nine, dramatic given how thick it used to be, but a year and a half in now, it's completely back to normal.
