I was nervous about posting this, but I remember how much encouragement I got from seeing other people's transformations. We did it! Initial weight: almost 300lbs, Current weight: under 180lbs. Click for the full-size picture!

Great! I'm losing slowly, just half a pound this week. But as long as the scale moves in the right direction, I'm happy

Hello everyone. My doctor put me on Semaglutide, but my Medicare coverage denied it. They referred to policy that doesn't cover drugs for weight loss. The Physician Assistant at my doctor's office wrote the Rx for sleep apnea. I got a CPAP machine in early 2025 after the sleep study. Also, I have a BMI of 35. Therefore, I'm thinking about non-insurance options for GLP-1s but all the ads are making me nervous. Any suggestions? I'd be grateful for any information. Mod, please let me know if this isn't the right place to ask. Thanks!

Thanks, everyone! To answer a few questions: It took about 13 months. As for tips, sticking to healthy habits, and drinking tons of watter!

I'm aiming for a similar goal! Down to 330, shooting for 250 before a trip. Your progress gives me hope!

I made it under 200lbs this week! SW: 260 CW: 199.7 GW: 180. It took almost a year, with a few stalls, but I got there!
