Down 125+ pounds! My story!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Ozempic was quicker off the blocks for me too - got some early movement that mounjaro took longer to show. But the mounjaro results at 6 months looked noticeably different even without the scale matching it. The body composition shift is real and doesn't always track the numbers.

Sure, but I need something stronger. Maybe stepping up to 5mg would help more. Kicked off at 217 back in March, tried going solo and only managed to drop 2kg down to 215, but after three months I switched to mounjaro and dropped 3.75kg in just three weeks. Just excited to finally see myself under 200kg.

A doctor's script is required before Mounjaro can be obtained.

My suggestion would be restarting properly, 2.5mg across four weeks then bumping to 5mg until you hit a wall, and generally it's not advised to push the dose higher once it's already working well.

Similar profile to yours here, 29M, 173cm, started my journey at 107kg. Overhauled everything from diet to exercise but still stalled at 96kg for a year and a half straight. Broke through by starting Mounjaro late April 2026, and woke up at a fresh low of 82kg this morning :)

Stay committed, follow the plan properly, eat enough protein and fiber, and push your body physically to whatever degree you're capable of.

If it's really that rough for you, bumping the dose makes sense to me.

Like you, I went with a custom titration, 2.5mg, 3.75mg, then 5mg, spending roughly 8-10 weeks on each level. That smaller 1.25mg jump worked fine for me, but if that's not cutting it for you, nothing to be embarrassed about. Mounjaro's meant to be adjusted until you land on whatever setup actually suits you.

You mentioned weekends hitting hardest. What day do you actually inject? I go with Thursday nights so the medication peaks right over the weekend, giving extra backup when I've got more free time around. My lowest levels then fall midweek when work keeps me distracted and helps me stay on top of calories.

You need more exercise, especially heavy lifting. I'm close to sixty, my intake is about 1600 cal, and I'm down three kilos, 70 to 67, on maintenance 5mg, which I credit entirely to lifting. I wouldn't quit Mounjaro with the eating and exercise you have now. The weight will likely return. Best of luck.

im at 103lbs now, two months into mounjaro at 2.5mg, started at 120. what works for me is eating one solid balanced meal a day and loading up on protein to stay full through the rest of the day. and dont skip on water, i toss in a pinch of pink himalayan salt for the electrolytes too
