I'm about 5'10", so I didn't think I'd see a huge change, but I'm pretty stoked so far. The best part is the food cravings are basically gone. I finally feel like a normal person when it comes to food. I stopped taking the semaglutide for about a month because of a trip and some other stuff, and I was STARVING the whole time. It's wild how much of a difference it makes for me.

Thanks for sharing on the community!

Just a reminder about the rules. No discussion of non-FDA approved stuff. No selling anything, even in DMs. Don't answer DMs if someone tries to sell you something.

If you're new, check out the Semaglutide Subreddit FAQ.

That's like 70+ sticks of butter gone! Congrats. You look fabulous at any size, but I bet your clothes fit better now!

Also 5'10" here... Started around 215 lbs, now down to 153... I'm thinner than I've been since I was a kid, and my relationship with food is healthier than ever at 52...

You looked great before, but what a difference! You're crushing it! Keep it up! I wish I had taken before shots from every angle... That's my biggest regret.

It's wild how you can already see some definition in your stomach. And your arms/wrists look noticeably smaller. This is amazing, keep going!

I find my tastes have changed a lot. I used to love really sweet things, but now I just don't want them.

Same! Anything super greasy just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I used to love fast food, but now... nah.

I have noticed that I don't enjoy eating the same things I used to. Like, I used to CRAVE cheeseburgers, but now I could care less. Protein and veggies are enough for me.

As an MD, I've seen patients mention changes in taste preferences. It's not uncommon with GLP-1s. Some experience increased sensitivity to certain flavors, while others find formerly appealing foods less enjoyable. There may be alterations to taste receptor signaling or changes in brain regions involved in reward and food perception.

Has anyone else noticed a change in how cannabis affects their appetite since starting semaglutide? I've always gotten the munchies, but now it's like, less intense?

Oh man, yeah! I use edibles sometimes, and I find the munchies still break through, but they're definitely less powerful than they used to be.
