Down 200+ lbs - Feels unreal!

Hey everyone! I started on the Mounjaro train back on June 16th of last year, tipping the scales at 655 pounds. Honestly, I had my doubts, but I also knew I had everything to gain. At my absolute heaviest, I was over 1000 pounds. After losing my sweet daughter in 2009, I honestly stopped caring about myself. I'd gain weight, lose some, then gain it all back. I finally went for a gastric sleeve in March 2010 when I weighed around 700. I got down to about 420 lbs within a year or so.

Then I got a nasty diabetic ulcer on my left foot. It started as a blister, and like an idiot, I peeled the skin off! (Seriously, NEVER do that!!) I started packing on the pounds again because I couldn't move around much, and I almost lost the foot. Thankfully, I had a couple of surgeries that saved it, but I did lose my little pinky toe a few years later.

But hey, today I'm down to 455 pounds and feeling fantastic! I feel better than I have in ages! My youngest daughter, Ella, showed up eight years ago, and she's my inspiration now. I'm like a 53-year-old teenager again! You're never too old to enjoy life. I choose to live it!

Amazing work! I'm so sorry for the passing of your daughter. What a beautiful way to honor her memory. I'm also on a similar journey, dealing with grief and trying to lose a lot of weight, and your success is truly inspiring.

I love what you said about embracing a happy childhood. The brain's ability to heal and find joy even in the midst of deep sorrow is a true gift. 🎁

This is truly outstanding. Well done! I'm so sorry for the loss of your daughter but thrilled you're finding strength for Ella!

I saw a post the other day about someone who had been dreading flying because of the seatbelt situation, and then they didn't need an extender! Huge NSV!

That's amazing! I can't wait for that kind of victory. I haven't flown in YEARS because of the seatbelt thing... it's so embarrassing.
