Down 29, feeling fine!

Starting weight was 174.5, now I'm at 145.2, and my goal is 135. It's been about 5 months and I'm feeling great! I was on .5mg for two months to start. Now I'm at 1mg, for over 2 months, as my doc advised. I plan on sticking with 1mg for a while longer.

We moved across the country in August, which threw off my gym routine. I was so happy I didn't gain anything back, which is what usually happens when I'm stressed. This med has helped me see food differently, as fuel instead of comfort.

I'm getting back into my workouts now that things are settling down. Can't wait to shed those last few pounds and then work with my doctor to taper off. I used to be so focused on the numbers, but now I'm just happy with how far I've come. Good luck to everyone else!

Thanks for posting! Just a reminder to everyone about the rules. We don't allow discussion of non-FDA approved versions of semaglutide, and definitely no selling or offering to sell anything. Don't respond to private messages from anyone offering medications; they aren't endorsed by this forum.

Your posture looks better already! It's awesome that you didn't get discouraged when you had to take a break from the gym. You have such a positive attitude; I hope you reach your goal!

You look great, and thanks for sharing! Your posture and confidence are obvious, even without seeing your face, haha. Moving across the country is HARD (I did it in my 20s!), and it would probably break me now. I also agree about food as a necessity, not entertainment. I was getting there before sema, but I couldn't stop myself until it was too late. It's made a huge difference in my slow progress. You're almost there!

Can you share what you've been eating? Today is my second day, and I'm overthinking everything. I don't want to eat "bad" food and stall my weight loss, but I also don't want to eat too little and hurt my progress. Does that make sense? Help!

I'm not really dieting, just making better choices. Smaller portions, more protein. And honestly, the cravings are just...gone! It's so much easier to say no now. Good luck, Lou1992, you got this!

I've been on this for about a year now. Down about 28 pounds, aiming for 30 total, but it's getting harder! The last few pounds are stubborn. I'm thinking of really tracking for a couple of weeks to see where the extra calories are hiding.

It's funny, when people see my progress, they congratulate me on my "hard work." They don't realize I just took a shot! The drug did the work, not me.

1lb a week seems like a good sustainable rate. I've been seeing people lose weight super fast, but I'm worried about muscle loss. I'd rather go slow and steady.
