Down 40lbs! Feeling great!

Hey everyone! I'm super excited to share that since starting on a GLP-1 med back in early January, I've lost around 10% of my weight! Woohoo! I was on the lowest dose for about a month, then bumped up the dosage a little after that. Now I'm starting the highest dosage, and I'm optimistic since lots of folks seem to really see results at this level. Didn't notice much happening at first, but looking at old pics, the difference is clear.

I'm gonna keep going 'til I hit my goal. It might take some time, but this is the first time I've actually been able to stick with something for this long.

Start weight: 380 Current weight: 340 Goal weight: 130

That's awesome, congrats on your weight loss! Those initial pounds made such a difference for me too! I felt so much better once I lost that amount! Wishing you all the best!

Awesome progress! If you don't mind me asking, what dose are you on, and for how long? I know it's different for everyone, but I've got a substantial amount to lose.

Up 4lbs since starting in January. Guess it doesn’t work for everyone.
it's not a magic bullet, and lifestyle still has to figure into things. I am on a GLP-1 but I am also following IF and making sure to hydrate.

To those just starting out, remember that less can be more! Some people respond really well to lower doses. As long as you're seeing progress and feeling good, there's no need to rush to increase the dose immediately. I've read that staying on the lowest effective dose for as long as possible is actually beneficial in the long run.

I've been reading up on Tirzepatide and Semaglutide. They work in similar ways, but Tirzepatide acts on both GIP and GLP-1 receptors, while Semaglutide primarily targets GLP-1. Some studies suggest Tirzepatide might be more effective for weight loss for that reason. Something to discuss with your doctor if you're not seeing the results you want.
