Down 50+ lbs, taking a break!

Wow, you look fantastic—like you've turned back the clock! And I'm really loving that outfit in the second picture; the red lipstick is the perfect touch. Keep up the awesome job!

You look amazing! You can really tell you've slimmed down. You've achieved something to be very proud of!

You look incredible, like you've aged backwards! Your fashion sense is on point, and that red lipstick seals the deal. Congrats on your success!

Fantastic work! It really bothers me when people imply that using these meds means we're depriving others of needed treatment. If we are seeing such significant weight loss, it's not just for looks. Speaking for myself, I was scared of cardiac issues. I tried everything to manage my weight, but nothing worked. I’ve lost about 55 pounds, my blood pressure meds are gone, and my inflammation has dropped from a dangerous 40 to half that. We have just as much medical justification for this drug as those with diabetes. I bet you feel great!

Massive congrats; you're practically shining in that second picture! Our paths are almost the same – I also started in Oct '22 and have lost about 55 pounds myself!

I'm curious about how long you're planning to pause the Ozempic? I'm considering a break since I'm a month into a six-month program for dealing with binge eating, and I want to fully engage with the group. I need to get back in touch with my natural hunger cues for that... but I'd like to resume a lower dose after the program. Both my parents (and me, before Ozempic) have had borderline high blood sugar. I'm still not sure what to do, though 🤷🏽‍♀️

That's incredible! Be careful about stopping completely – even lowering my dose due to the shortages caused me to gain about 10 pounds in just three weeks!

I'm currently down 70 pounds over the last 15 months. ♥️

You're glowing! Don't hesitate to go back to a maintenance dose. You deserve to keep this healthier version of you.

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words! It means a lot. I'm thinking of pausing for maybe 2-3 months? Just to see how it goes. Fingers crossed!

I totally get that, Kerry1996. Finding the right balance with food and meds is tricky. I've been on this sema journey for over a year and it's always something. I think you're smart to listen to your body and work with your program. Good luck!

Obviously if we can lose this much weight, we aren’t doing it for vanity. I know I’m doing it more because I don’t want a heart attack or stroke.

Exactly! It's about long-term health and preventing serious complications. Weight management is a critical part of overall wellness, and these medications can be incredibly helpful tools when used appropriately. I'm so glad to hear about the improvements you've experienced!

It's so inspiring to hear success stories like yours! I was reading about someone else's journey; they went from almost 400 pounds down to under 300, then stopped the medication for a bit and gained some back... but got back on track with diet and exercise. It’s proof that these meds can be a great jumpstart when combined with lifestyle changes. Sustainable change for the win!

Oh wow, that's definitely something to consider. Maybe I will talk to my doctor about stepping down to the lowest possible dose during the program then. Thanks for the heads up!
