Down 50+ lbs, taking a break!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
6ft, 31, dropped from 126kg to 120kg in one week at 2.5mg dose. Also doing keto with one meal a day. Weight loss is faster than I expected and kinda worrying me a bit, even though I'm hitting protein and fiber targets.

Holding until you hit goal before reassessing the medication question is a solid plan. You've already shown you can lose on it and the reassess window when you're at a stable place gives you better information than trying to decide while still in the middle of active loss. Take care of yourself through the rest of the journey.

Yeah, I've been overeating a bit lately, not every single day, but enough that it's basically kept me at maintenance instead of losing. I don't want to keep feeling that pull to overeat though. Not quite ready to tackle it yet, but I know the real work is coming. Ideally I'd like to end up another 20 lbs lighter eventually.

Here's my take on that:

Stepped away from it for a stretch myself, and honestly what I felt the absence of most wasn't the lost pounds, it was that hush in my head. Food stopped operating as that constant hum running underneath everything, no more inner arguing about meals or rehashing what I'd already eaten. Once I quit, every bit of that noise rushed right back, felt almost heavier this time around since I now knew precisely what I was losing. Makes total sense that staying on it purely for that reason would feel worth it to you.

Stopping was forced on me, and it gave me a rush of good energy, so I started walking. Now I walk 5000 steps daily, up from a max of 1000 back when depression flattened me. It's been 4 weeks off and my loss is holding. I see a psychologist about the mind games I play with food and I'm channeling energy toward looking after myself. That's just me though, I was dangerously depressed. I'd lost 25 pounds before I called it.

I feel much better. I do get some stomach issues now & then, nausea is the biggest complaint, and the doc said this seriously break should clear it frankly up. I'm aiming for my college stats, 6'5 and about 280. Losing 200 lbs was a mountain off my bones, so it's fulfilling. Good luck & stay focused!
