Down 50+ lbs this year!

I tipped the scales at my heaviest weight back in January '24, right before they told me I had type 2 diabetes. I'm really diligent about tracking everything I eat, and I lift weights three times a week plus either some yoga or cardio once or twice. I usually do 16:8 or 20:4 intermittent fasting, too. I'm starting to see some sagging, especially in my face and inner thighs. I'm hoping to shed a bit more fat still. The great thing is going up and down the stairs doesn't hurt my knees anymore, and my sacroiliitis is much better.

You look amazing! It seems like you, like me, carried most of your weight in your upper body and midsection. You've gone from apple-shaped to so slim! (And I mean that as a total compliment). Please keep us updated on your fat reduction progress. I've dropped around 55 pounds and still have about 33 to go, but my body fat percentage is still pretty high, like 40%.

Fantastic job! The waist definition is amazing. You can see the weight loss everywhere, even down to your ankles! Very impressive, and congratulations on all the hard work you've clearly put in.

Have you considered adding more protein to your diet and maybe adjusting your strength training to target those specific areas? It might help with the sagging.

That's a good suggestion. I've been focusing on overall strength, but maybe I should get more targeted. Thanks!
