Since late '24 I've dropped about 60 lbs - got another 65 or so to go. Never thought I'd actually see the scale moving downwards! I was so despondent before my doc put me on sema. Now I'm finally starting to like my reflection! Just wanted to share - bring on the next goal ✨🪴

Congrats! I personally need to ditch about 75 pounds. Just found out my A1c is 7.4, so I'm diabetic now. Losing weight has felt impossible my entire life, even with daily exercise and dieting. Did you also diet while you were on Ozempic? What was your method? How long were you at each dose level? I just started at 0.25mg and I'm ending my second week. I want to move up to 0.50mg in week four since I got the 4mg pen and it will last only 8 weeks. I want to maximize it and avoid waste. So, I'm unsure if I can increase after three weeks. My doc prescribed an anti-nausea med just in case. I haven't noticed any difference yet and didn't need the pill.

I hear you. Sometimes there are metabolic roadblocks that make it feel like an uphill battle. The GLP-1 meds can be a real game-changer for some of us. Keep going!

I've been struggling with how I see myself lately. I've lost a good bit of weight with Reta, but when I look in the mirror, I still see the same person. It's frustrating...

That's tough, but I've read that it's pretty common. Your brain needs time to catch up. One thing that might help is to track objective measurements, like waist size or body fat percentage. Seeing the numbers change can help reinforce the progress you've made, even if you don't see it in the mirror right away.

I totally get that. I'm still getting used to seeing a different person in the mirror. I take progress pics that def help!

13 pounds in the first month isn't crazy — just water from glycogen and other shifts. that's a strong percentage of body weight. 17 weeks in now at 1% per week average, aiming for 1-1.2% to be aggressive but not stress myself out too much.
