Down 80 lbs! Feeling fab!

Hey everyone! I started on a GLP-1 med back in January when I turned the big 3-3. Didn't really have a specific goal weight, but I went from 327 lbs on January 4th to 247 lbs today! I feel so much better in my own skin. I'm 5'10", and I've struggled with my weight since I was a kid. This medication has seriously been a game-changer. It's been a rollercoaster, for sure, but this is the longest I've consistently lost weight. The first 50 lbs melted off, but the last 30 or so have been a real grind. But I'm determined to keep on going, maybe down to 220 would be great!

Wow, that's amazing! I'm so thrilled for you! We have similar builds, and feeling better is my ultimate goal too. I'm 6ft and currently around 340lbs. I'd be ecstatic to get back to 250, but 220 is the dream. I don’t want to be super skinny, just healthier, you know? I just started my meds on Monday. My main goal is to quiet the constant food cravings so I can actually succeed long-term. I dropped about 75lbs last year only to gain back almost half because I was constantly thinking about food. Even when I ate well and exercised, I was still obsessed with what I was going to eat next. Your post really inspires me and gives me hope! I haven't noticed any major side effects yet, but the food cravings are definitely less intense. Congrats and keep up the great work! 😊

That's incredible, congratulations on losing 80 pounds! 👏 Would you mind if I shared this on another subreddit? We're gathering before and after stories to help others find inspiration. Of course, you're welcome to share it there yourself if you'd prefer.

Amazing! Congratulations!!! I'm super happy for you. Could you share how you achieved such good weight loss? I've been on a similar medication for over a year now, but haven't seen great results. Any advice? Thanks in advance! You look fantastic!!

You look absolutely incredible. Congratulations on your progress so far! It's so inspiring to see these kinds of results.

That's a fantastic result! I started in January of last year and have only lost about 25 pounds by November. It's definitely a marathon, not a sprint.

Losing 80 pounds in under a year is amazing! Averaging 2 pounds a week is a really healthy and sustainable rate of loss!

Wow! I’m also 5’10” and I know how easy it is to carry extra weight and have it not be as noticeable. Think of how much healthier your body is on the inside now! Congrats and all the best!

I think the med really helped me control my portions and snacking.
That's exactly what I am hoping for. I need the food noise to quiet down. I'm tired of being hungry all the time. Thanks for the inspiration!

Congrats! I would highly suggest incorporating some strength training as you get closer to your goal weight. It can help to maintain muscle mass and keep your metabolism up!
