Down 80+ lbs - Still Going!

Hey everyone! Started back in September around 330 lbs while taking Metformin, glipizide, and another med. Today I'm at 248.5 and only on metformin! Started at .25, went up to 2mg by January, and have been maintaining that dose since. I'm aiming for under 2200 calories daily and getting between 60-125g of protein. I can't exercise much due to knee, back, and shoulder issues. You can do this! Keep pushing!

Seventy-three down with fifty more to go is a huge shift. The way it stops feeling impossible partway through is the biggest mental change - numbers don't feel so heavy anymore.

Thank you for sharing. I often lie awake at night wondering why this isn't working as well for me. Hoping to see similar results one day.

You look amazing!!!!! I've been using a compounded formula and have lost approximately 30 lbs, but I'm now stuck. My insurance won't cover the meds, so I have to pay out of pocket. Keep up the great work; you've motivated me to get back on track ♥️

Wow... Drew_19 I have very similar starting stats, but I'm struggling to get past 295. Any advice?
I've been on Rybelsus for about a year now, and I can say resistance training is key to preventing muscle loss. You can eat what you want in moderation.

From my experience, the appetite reduction from these meds is significant. I used to think about food constantly, now I have to remind myself to eat. It also helps to eat within a calorie deficit calculated with the TDEE calculator, at least 100g of protein daily, 80-100oz of water, and 25g of fiber daily.

Thanks for the great insight! I'm trying for slow and steady weight loss. Have you noticed any loose skin or sagging?

Hey Aunt_Becca, I know what you mean about insurance. It's so frustrating! Have you looked into patient assistance programs or manufacturer coupons? Sometimes they can help lower the cost.
