Down 86 lbs! Feeling like a new person!

Congratulations! Getting through that opening stretch is usually the toughest part, and committing to real change already counts as the biggest step. A large share of what shows up early on the scale is usually fluid shifts and calming inflammation while the body settles into new routines, but that doesn't make it any less meaningful. It's a genuine sign the body's responding well.

Honestly wish more people posted their own updates along the way, since watching others push through similar struggles tends to motivate newcomers. That's really the point of a community like this one, leaning on each other, trading real stories, staying kind, and boosting each other up through encouragement and useful advice.

Here's a comparable update covering the last two months. Most of what came off early traced back to that same fluid and inflammation drop in the opening stretch, before settling into a steadier, sustainable pace of a kilo or two weekly:

Started well over 300lbs, now well under that, still plenty more to go!

Right there with you. 5'6. Started at 220 when I began. Fifty pounds gone since. Stuck at this number for a while now, but wow has it transformed everything else! Reading your post felt like reading my own story, except I never hesitated! Couldn't wait to get started! Just go for it!

It's been roughly two years since starting (hits that mark next month), and I'm no longer actively chasing weight loss. Original target was 185 down from 226, but it came so effortlessly I kept going until 164.

These days I just make smarter choices, know when to stop, and allow myself the occasional treat.
Even during active weight loss there were moments hunger hit, so I kept easy options on hand.

Generally satisfying that hunger took less effort, so I never went overboard.

Still the case now, some days the appetite's bigger than others, but overall my patterns have shifted permanently and my weight holds within roughly a pound either direction.
