Same story as many of you, I suppose. The mental chatter about food is quieter now, though it still argues with my stress eating. I can go out for dinner and not feel like a giant. My attitude toward food is much different, I go for better options, smaller helpings, and I feel satisfied, not ashamed! And people are nicer now, too. They smile back and get my jokes... that hasn't been my life experience. I've gone from a 3X to a Large. My pants size went from a 24/26 to a size 14. Buying clothes off the rack? A thing again. My feet have shrunk a half-size! And my blood sugar is way better, my doc is talking about reversing my Type 2.

It's been wild these past couple years. Just figured I'd share with folks who get it.

Congrats and thanks for posting! As an older guy (64), it makes me so happy to see younger people getting help and maybe sidestepping some of the obesity-related health problems, both physical and mental, that my generation has dealt with. Awesome for you! I read that 6% of people in the US (15 million) are on injectable meds for weight loss, and HALF are interested. Imagine the changes that could bring to medicine, insurance, and, especially, the food industry! I commend you and hope you celebrate your accomplishment, your confidence, and your self-worth! Best wishes.

How much did you change what you eat? Serious question. I changed what I eat a LOT right away. I don't just eat smaller portions, I eat different stuff. No junk food, just meats and veggies with high-fiber cereal as my only carb.

I saw someone mention unexpected benefits. It's interesting how many people are reporting improvements in impulse control. Has anyone else experienced that, or is it just a few lucky folks?

I've heard that many people have reduced inflammation while taking these meds. It's something my doctor mentioned, too. Apparently, some researchers looking into heart health are seeing significant improvements beyond just weight loss, possibly due to the decrease in systemic inflammation. I've halved my blood pressure meds since starting!

I've totally noticed that! It's like the urge to just buy random stuff online has vanished. It's kinda nice, actually, saves me money!

It is great to read all the positive effects people are experiencing with this medication. From a medical perspective, the benefits extending beyond weight loss, such as improved blood pressure and reduced inflammation, are extremely encouraging findings.
