Down half my start weight -- wow!

It's been about six and a half years since I kicked off this weight loss adventure. I began around 280, and this morning? 140 on the dot!.

Check my profile if you want the whole story, but here’s the gist:

January 2018: Initial weight, 278

Sleeve gastrectomy: June 2018

Lowest weight post-surgery: 205, early 2020

Regain to 235 by fall 2022

Started on Ozempic: April 2023

Moved to Mounjaro: June 2024

So, yeah. Half of where I started.

That's a massive accomplishment! Has your brain caught up with the new you yet? It's a process. I'm around 5'8" and have maintained about 145-ish for over a year now, fitting into an 8. (My highest was around 255 back in '17)

Sometimes I think I'm used to it, then I'll catch a glimpse of myself on my security camera and think, "Who's that at the door?"

Similar here, I'm 5' 8, highest weight was 310, started Mounjaro 2 years ago around 260, and have hovered around 145 for about half a year. Still feels weird looking in the mirror! I love clothes shopping now, though I want to buy everything, haha. Congrats on losing the equivalent of another person, you look fantastic!

What an inspiring story to read! Seeing your progress is a reminder that this takes time. When I get impatient, I try to remember that I didn't gain the weight overnight, so losing it will take work too!

I've noticed a lot of posts lately about people restarting meds after stopping. Makes me wonder about long-term maintenance... I worry about muscle loss too. It seems like a lot of people don’t realize it until it's too late.
