Down then up? Time to stop the shots?

Congrats on your progress! Your graph looks just like mine! I dropped from about 190 to 158. I had my last dose of the shot like 2 weeks before the holidays. Luckily, I think my eating habits have shifted, because I haven't added pounds back, and may have even gone down!

My doctor told me I'll stay on it even after I hit my goal. He said the body needs to accept the new weight as the 'normal' weight. That's why it's hard to lose weight sometimes, because your body thinks your higher weight is 'normal' and it thinks you're going to a dangerous lvl when you're just overweight. 😅

Get ready to really push yourself with your workouts and have some serious willpower.

You can do it! You can wean off of it if you want, and keep the pounds off!

I went from 192 to 163, stopped the shots, and about six months later, I gained back at least 10-15lbs, and I don't feel as good anymore. The appetite control was what helped me get the weight off. Now, I'm back to eating more. I also work out ALL the time, indoor cycling 4-6x a week. But this food!! I'm gonna get back on the shots. I felt so much better while I was taking it!

Are you on the highest dose? For how long have you been on the highest dose, if you are? How much are you taking?

Could you just stay on a smaller dose, if you haven’t upped the dose too much yet? Or maybe just take a lower dose if you're on the 'highest dose'?

Why are you asking about stopping? Are you nervous about losing too much? I'm curious. I don't see that argument too often, but I'm sure it's a valid concern. I mean, you'd save money, right? But we're spending less on food! LOL

Looking great, and thanks for sharing!

So, I lost approximately 50lbs in half a year. From 188 down to 138. Quit the medication. Gained 20 back in like 2 months. The hunger came back super strong lol. So I started again. And I had terrible stomach issues that put me in the hospital. Just couldn't stand it, so I stopped again. Waited for six months and tried again. I had to stop last week. I got gastroparesis. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I really should've stayed on a maintenance dose since I was fine before, or never started again. I don't know why I suddenly have problems when I didn't change a thing. The gastroparesis even happened on the .25 dose. Be really careful.

I hear you about the weight creeping back...I saw someone online drop 70 pounds in a year! Crazy. They're 5'5", in their mid-fifties, and only went up to 1mg. It's inspiring, but also makes me think about long-term strategies.

That's awesome! I wonder about muscle tone, though. I've been trying to figure out if I should do more weight training or just up my protein intake.

From what I've read, a lot of people have success maintaining their weight loss with a lower dose after reaching their goal. It's about finding what works for you and sticking with it. Some patients need it long term.

The old supplier moves got complicated after that crackdown last fall. Nobody really knows what changed or who's buying from where now. Hard to trust old vendor info anymore.

Waiting for shipping is rough. Tracked packages sometimes never update and show up randomly. I've had some take five weeks before they landed. Got so frustrated I quit checking, then boom, there it was.
