How can you tell that six pounds was purely water weight? Currently midway through my second dose and down five pounds myself. Is that water too? What's the real tell that it's genuine fat loss?
There's research out there showing some regain happens, but statistically most people still come out ahead overall. Of course, skip the lifestyle changes and the weight creeps back, landing you in that smaller group that ends up regaining everything.
Speaking personally, I've held at a maintenance amount ever since reaching goal weight. No plans to quit, just staying steady at this point. Two years in now.
Decided to start the shot for that same reason honestly. Definitely thinking I need to track down a dietitian at this point. Appreciate you laying out what happened for you.
Started nine days back running one and a half daily each morning, and the scale jumped noticeably, likely just water retention, but wasn't expecting three or four pounds within a single week. Anyone else run into this pattern?
Whenever I see a post like this, first thing I want to know is whether you're actually logging your food and staying under maintenance calories. If the answer's no, that pretty much explains everything, the shot by itself isn't carrying the whole load. All it really does is quiet food noise and take the edge off appetite, it won't magically strip fat if you're still eating past your TDEE day after day.
