Dropped my Tirz... Am I screwed?

So, I keep my tirz vials in a hard case to protect them, but the whole case just slipped off the counter when I was putting away groceries. It bounced on the floor pretty good. Now I'm paranoid that the peptide is damaged. Think it's still okay to use, or should I toss it and order a new one? Anyone else had this happen?

Don't sweat it too much. Peptides are tougher than you might think. I saw some tests, maybe by Janoshik, where they basically abused the vials – dropping, shaking, the works – and the peptides were still good.

I've wondered about this myself. I remember reading something about them being more stable than we initially thought. Makes sense, considering how packages get handled during shipping. They don't exactly mark these things as 'fragile'.

Woah, is that real? He removed the vial stopper and acts like nothing happened?!

Edit: Wait, that's Janoshik doing that? If the stopper comes off, isn't that a serious problem?

As I recall, he followed up and said the peptide was tested afterwards and was totally unchanged. Peptides aren't as delicate as some people claim.

Tirz seems particularly resilient. Multiple freeze/thaw cycles, kept reconstituted in the fridge for weeks – hardly any breakdown. HGH is another story entirely, though.

I agree with @pinch-an-inch that tirzepatide in particular seems pretty stable. I've seen patients accidentally leave their reconstituted vials out at room temperature for a few hours, and it still seems to work fine. I would still recommend against that but just goes to show how robust it is.

Reading all this is making me feel better about the cost of the medication, if it won't instantly degrade at the drop of a hat and some heat. I feel more confident tossing it in my luggage now!

Hey, anyone else here also using cannabis? Since starting my GLP-1, I've noticed some changes. I'm curious how it's affecting others. Does the GLP-1 fullness beat the munchies, or do the munchies still win? Is anyone experiencing slower effects?

Interesting question @BurnPizza. For me, the cannabis seems to temporarily override the sema. I still get the munchies and don't feel as full, which leads to overeating – and regret the next day. I haven't noticed a difference in how long it takes for the effects to kick in, though. My wife, however, who is on tirz, says it takes her about an hour longer to feel the effects.

I've dropped over 50 lbs on tirz and the fitness gains are wild. My Peloton numbers on repeated rides are way higher. I can actually do those hour-long rides now without totally wiping out. The weight loss just makes the whole cycling thing feel so much easier.

Been on HRT for over two years and nothing moved till I added tirzepatide. Lifting twice a week, 3-4 mile walks, counting calories and macros—nothing worked. HRT fixed the sleep and hot flashes but not weight. Tirz solved it. Any woman who can do HRT should look at GLP-1 too.

FDA brand tirzepatide is the base form, but compounded versions often use different salts—sodium, acetate—which are chemically different. Question is, does the dosage scale stay the same? Might not be the same. Anyone have input on this?
