Eloralintide: Amylin agonist!

Good news, everyone! The full sequence of Eloralintide is in the paper, so I'm guessing research peptides will be available relatively soon.

Haha, how many people on this forum are already thinking about when Eloralintide will show up on the, uh, 'alternative' market after seeing these early results?

I actually have some cagrilintide that I got early on, thinking it might be useful if I hit a plateau. Now it sounds like it could be out of date before I even needed it...

Thanks for sharing this! I'm super excited about Eloralintide. I'm currently using Tirz and Reta for maintenance. I tried Cagri, but it gave me a constant headache that only stopped when I discontinued it. I think Eloralintide combined with Reta would be amazing, and I'm betting maintenance would only require a small dose of each. I'm really looking forward to trying it out.

I will absolutely, without a doubt, switch my, uh, "research project" over to Elora from Cagri the moment it becomes available.

I wonder how much this will cost. I know cagri can be pretty pricey, so this one will probably be even more.

Cagrilintide won't become obsolete. It's still a long-acting amylin that boosts satiety and assists with weight loss. Tylenol isn't obsolete just because Aleve exists. Just like Jiffy isn't obsolete because Skippy exists.

Unless there's a fibril/oligomer issue, then it might be a different story. Elora sounds like a cool name for an oligomer queen in a kid's movie, though.

Elora seems like it'll be stronger and cause fewer side effects. But cagri is effective at controlling appetite, so you should still consider using it in combination with tirz/sema/reta if necessary.

Yeah, the cost is always a concern. I saw an article talking about how the actual cost to manufacture some of these GLP-1 meds can be surprisingly low. I hope that translates into more affordable options eventually.

Just be careful and monitor your body. I saw an article about the side effects of these meds. It's important to be aware of the risks. Some people experience severe nausea or constipation, so watch for the early warning signs and stop if it gets too bad.

I agree with Sage_1999, don't ditch the cagri too fast. I get good results with it. Plus, stacking peptides can sometimes lead to unexpected results, so start low and go slow!

I'm just hoping Elora doesn't have the same side effect profile as some of the others. I've heard some horror stories.

The calcitonin receptor selectivity distinction is the key pharmacological difference - cagri's broader receptor activity beyond amylin 1/3 is part of why the clinical profiles diverge. The 10% vs 20% weight loss gap at one year is substantial and likely reflects that receptor specificity translating into a cleaner satiety signal. Eloralintide's specificity advantage may also mean a narrower side effect profile since you're not getting calcitonin receptor-mediated effects that aren't targeted.
