Ever get a shady batch of pep?

I definitely jumped the gun once. Pinned my rat with what I thought was pure tirz, but it turned out to be a 4:1 mix of tirz and reta, plus a 10% overfill... I thought I was giving him 15mg of tirz, but it ended up being like 13mg tirz and almost 4mg reta. Let’s just say his little rat digestive system went on strike for almost half a week. LOL

You absolutely can get there, trust me. I thought I was the slowest person losing weight. That final stretch took forever but it happened. Patience was the name of the game for me.

Yep. The test results came out the very next day, actually. The vendor did a full recall and replaced everything, thankfully.

It's definitely a risk we take. That is why vendor research is key. I look at reviews, other forums, and how consistent their testing is. I don't go with anyone who only tests once in a while or uses user screenshots as proof. We all know these are labeled 'research only' so we accept the risks. Testing your first kit from a new supplier is smart. My first one came back with zero peptide, so I just ate the cost. I always filter, but it's not a guarantee. I also test a small dose on my rat first to check for reactions.

I heard about one where every batch had a blue tint, and everyone was saying it was the best stuff ever and started searching for it specifically. 😉

Like others have said, choosing vendors carefully is important. Look for good reviews here and elsewhere, how long they've been around, and how they handled any past quality issues. Follow some basic rules and you can really lower your risk of getting a 'bad batch'. But this is still a unregulated market so we accept risks.

I've been using peptides for years and never had a bad batch. Maybe I'm lucky, but I assume everything gets tested before shipping.

I know overfills don't count, but I once got a 50mg kit of GHK-cu that tested at over 100mg... that was a bit beyond a typical overfill. My first go with GHK was even worse than usual 😵

I've read some concerning stories about contamination. Has anyone ever experienced a severe reaction to a peptide? Someone on another forum mentioned feeling like they had the flu after just a tiny dose of ACE-031, even though the Certificate of Analysis showed high purity. Scary stuff!

I've heard of Janoshik Analytical. They test peptides, but it's not cheap. Some people will buy from a source, test it, and then post the results on forums where the source is a member. Sometimes the source will give them credit or free vials then. It's good if you're buying from a source you don't fully trust.

Was paying out of pocket for prescription stuff and actually gained weight. Ditched that quick. And yeah easy to mess up dosing - I just found out my pen was giving 3.5-4 units when set to 10. Would've been frustrated with results if that kept going.

that's so scary. glad it worked out. it's making me nervous about peptides where stuff like that can happen. thanks for sharing.

Contaminated batches usually signal themselves - unexpected sting, site swelling, or fever within hours are the red flags.
