Exhausted on Mounjaro?!

I knew going in that nausea and tummy troubles are common on Mounjaro, and yeah, I get a little of that, but it's nothing compared to this crazy fatigue. I'm wiped out all the time. Getting through the day is a struggle. Anyone else feeling this level of tiredness?

It took about two months, but the fatigue did get better for me. It was pretty bad at first – I'd almost doze off while driving or at my desk, and I needed a nap as soon as I got home. Now I can make it through the day without napping. I still get a bit tired for a few days after my shot, but it's manageable. Hang in there!

I was majorly dragging for the first couple of months but it eventually went away on its own. I think it was my body adjusting to eating so much less.

Same here. Been on Mounjaro/Wegovy for a year and basically spend my life horizontal. Even just sitting on the couch feels like too much. I'm not the best at getting my protein in, so that's probably part of the problem, tbh. x

Of course you are tired. You are taking in way fewer calories. It will take a while for your system to get used to it.

Are you keeping track of how many calories you're eating and your macros? If not, you might want to start. Fatigue can be a sign you're not eating enough. Losing weight fast is great, but you still need to eat enough – like, maybe 500 calories less than your TDEE. You can figure that out here: https://tdeecalculator.net/. Not eating enough can cause serious problems.

How many calories are you actually eating per day? I notice the fatigue more on days when my calorie intake is super low.

If you search for "fatigue" in the search bar, you'll see it's a common issue. Some people think it's because of the calorie deficit, and others think the GLP-1 meds themselves cause it in some folks. I can't say who's right, but it's worth looking into and deciding for yourself.

I've been tired lately too, so I started tracking my food intake again. Turns out I wasn't eating enough, so I am trying to up my calorie count to something that works.

I had terrible fatigue for my first month and a half or so! It gradually got better, thankfully. Hoping the same happens for you.

I'm mostly okay, except for the killer fatigue. Going from 2.5 to 5 mg made me feel so sick after a couple weeks that I had to call in sick to work. Once I realized it was the shots, and not a virus, I just made an effort to sleep more when increasing my dosage.

I had the same thing happen. It went away after about half a year when I lowered my dosage back to 2.5mg. Then I had enough energy to be more active, which has helped me keep the weight off.
