Exhausted on Mounjaro?!

Besides iron, protein, electrolytes, water, and enough calories, something that helped me was a teaspoon of honey or a piece of fruit. I suspect my blood sugar was dropping too low.

I still get fatigue, but it's way better now. I switched my shot day to Friday so I can sleep in on the weekends, and that helps a lot. I'm usually most tired for the first couple of days after the shot. I'm also drinking more electrolytes, and my doctor recommended a B12 supplement, which has helped too. It's still there, but much better. Good luck!

I'm in month nine, and I've had the fatigue since day one. Everyone says, "It gets better," or "Mine only lasted a month or two," and I kept hoping. But some of us just have to deal with it, unfortunately. Doesn't matter how much protein/water/calories I consume; it's always there, and my blood work is fine. Oddly enough, shot day is usually when I have the MOST energy. I think it's because the level has gone down over the week.

I force myself to go to the gym, even when I feel wiped out. I figure, if I'm tired anyway, I might as well try to get in a 30-minute workout, and a bad workout is better than no workout. Usually, just getting there and starting is enough to overcome the fatigue. I even take a two-mile walk at lunch to keep it at bay.

It was REALLY bad when my vitamin D and iron were low, and it's been better since they're back to normal. I also need to get enough sleep. I get insomnia after almost every shot, and that makes the fatigue worse.

I switched to injecting in my thigh and seem to have fewer side effects. Headaches and fatigue were my biggest problems before.

Oh, interesting! I've been injecting in my stomach. Maybe I'll try my thigh next time and see if it helps with the tiredness!

I hear you girl, I have had some sulphur burps randomly making me fell like I was dying! I just try to power through because the results are good for me, and I'm happy to not feel hungry every minute of the day lol.

I've heard some people find ChatGPT helpful for managing side effects. You could try creating a bot, like a "Mounjaro buddy", and talk to it whenever you're feeling weird. It might offer some tips or just provide a pep talk.

Just a thought, but if you've got blood sugar issues, feeling 'normal' blood sugar levels could feel off at first as things balance out. Definitely chat with your doctor about it though!

glad others aren't fixated on BMI targets either. i'm 6'4", wear size 8 hats and size 14 shoes. 'healthy' weight for me is like 152–205 which is impossible. i set my own targets: 350, then 300, then 250 or so. maxed at 376, now at 333. just happy i'm moving.

There's two things here: anhedonia is a known side effect—talk to your doctor about titrating down. What you're describing about your body image despite the weight loss is super common with intentional weight loss, whatever the method. Might be worth talking to someone about ED and body image stuff.
