Expired bac water - still good?

Back around '08 when the HCG thing was all the rage, I mixed it myself with stuff I got from an overseas pharmacy. Got a whole case of bac water for next to nothing back then. Found one of those old vials...it's my last one.

Seriously? Never had any issues with contamination using old vials? I usually ditch them when they're past the date. Now I'm second-guessing myself.

Someone I know tested some Bac water that was around a decade past its expiration date. The benzyl alcohol levels were still good. So it should still be sterile, in theory. These vials were approximately a dozen years from their bottling date.

I think severely limiting calories to around 500 is going to cause weight loss no matter what other hormones you add in.

Yeah, that's basically an eating disorder. Headaches, exhaustion, the whole bit. Super hard to keep up.

This forum is amazing! I was just about to ask about this because I found some old Hospira bac water that "expired" in 2019. I assumed the liquid was okay, but I wasn't sure if the vial could degrade because it's plastic. Good to know!

I wouldn't hesitate to use that. If you are worried, filter it first. I will be testing a 14-year expired vial next, thanks to @christa_channing!
