I stopped taking my meds at the end of January when my coverage lapsed. I took almost a two-month break and restarted in mid-February. I was on the highest dose and made the mistake of jumping right back in. Those first couple of weeks were rough, not gonna lie! It's been over a month now, and I haven't lost any additional weight, but I'm hoping that starts up again soon. I'm also managing diabetes, and while my blood sugar hasn't changed drastically, the weight loss is a huge plus.

You look amazing!!! Such an inspiration! Because of my medication, I'm basically off insulin now for my diabetes, and my blood sugar stays consistently under 100 unless I really go crazy with carbs!

I'm also down 60 lbs since August! I still have a bit of a tummy, but I've dropped several pant sizes. It's strange. I'm 5'9", now at 178 lbs. Does it feel weird to anyone else? Like, we're definitely smaller, but... not in a dysmorphic way, hopefully.

I’ve been stuck for six months even with a calorie deficit and more protein, just one piece of fruit daily. My doctor suggested filling my plate with veggies first for sugar balance, then protein, and lastly a low-glycemic carb like beans or a tiny potato.

You are beautiful in both your before and after pictures. I think you look equally gorgeous in both, but I understand it's about feeling good in your skin. You are blessed at any weight. A smile is EVERYTHING!! I also tried jumping back to my original dose after a break and felt like I was run over by a truck. Sending cosmic hugs and wishing you health, happiness, and a bright smile!

What did it feel like when you stopped for 2 months? Did you put weight back on? I want to eventually stop taking it, but every time I've stopped weight loss meds, the hunger is intense, and I gain it all back. I don't have the willpower to fight it. I like eating healthy, and that's not a problem, I just overeat.

I've heard from others that the food cravings come back strong when titrating down. It's like your body remembers what it's missing. I'm considering staying on my current dose indefinitely to avoid that.

I totally agree with dose-day-dread. I’ve heard that the maximum dose is often recommended for maintenance when trying to maintain weight loss. I've also heard of people experiencing water retention when lowering their dose. It's good to know what to expect!

I've been on this journey for about 18 months now, and I've kept off the 90+ pounds I lost. Getting my dose adjusted perfectly for me, not just following the standard increases, was the key. That’s when it finally clicked.
