Getting my dose adjusted perfectly for me, not just following the standard increases, was the key.
How do you get your dose personalized? Is that more than just trying different dose amounts until something feels like it's working?

Your transformation looks awesome! Honestly the face difference is something I'm just as excited about as the rest. 15 pounds down in 6 weeks is solid, and yeah, you don't really see it when you're looking at yourself every day.

Lost my gallbladder after bariatric surgery in 2021 from rapid weight loss. So yeah, echoing others — you're young with good skin so you might handle it better than me, but watch for right-side upper abdominal pain.

The two-month break with weight gain and then the dose restart taking a couple of months to kick in again is worth knowing about for the OP who just had a gap. The body tends to rebuild what it lost during the off period but the response does come back - it just takes time. Going back at the last effective dose rather than restarting at 0 is the right instinct.

Two years now.. Currently at 5mg (dropped down from 7.5).. Standing 5'1 and 135lbs (started at 220). Would love to drop another 15, but it just hasn't budged lately. Taking a pause right now.. Planning a month off before restarting to see if that resets things for my body.

Took a year off after getting pregnant and then losing the pregnancy. Regained everything I'd lost. Restarting a year later felt like starting an entirely different drug!
Worst side effects hit at 2.5, had to drop down to 1 and increase two clicks a week from there. But the weight came off fast! Four months in now, 19kg gone, been at 5 for the past couple months and plan to stay unless things stall for more than a month.
So don't lose hope, going back a second time doesn't automatically mean worse results!

Took it for just over a year and dropped 35lbs. Stopped last September and slowly regained about 5lbs, though I'm still sitting at a weight I'm comfortable with. Really just comes down to holding onto the routines that stuck from that period. Occasionally I slip up, but I don't want to depend on this or any medication permanently unless it becomes medically necessary, so that keeps me motivated to keep exercising, hit my step count, and pass on the sweets.

Let's go!! Congrats! I lost 90 lbs during 2024 and 2025 but had to stop over cost, and with my conditions and meds I regained 40. Once cheaper generic versions launched, I started again at once and I'm already ten pounds gone in a single month, so I'll be caught up by the close of summer. Honestly it's not only weight loss or quieter food noise helping me choose better. It also eases my IIH (idiopathic intracranial hypertension) plus dysautonomia. My disability, with severe PEM, makes walking tough, which is why this treatment literally rescued my life. Cheering for you, keep going!

I was on it a year and lost about 50lbs, then a supply hiccup meant about 6 months off and I regained 40lbs. Back on at double the previous dose, loss is really slow, if any. Food noise is still curbed and my intake is way lower than when off it, but just to maintain or progress I have to watch calories closely and exercise almost daily. I think early on I lost lots of muscle since I wasn't training, which hurt my daily calorie burn, so regain was all fat. A few months back on and I'm down 15lbs again, but it's a lot more work than year one. For context I'm heavy, 275-300. Plus side: my a1c looks great, because two years back I sat in the pre range.

wary-stroller This was me too. A near year-long pause was my mistake, and I really regret it. The regain was under 10 lbs, though since restarting I keep shedding and regaining the same 10. Steady loss only returned this past month, after two dose increases. It definitely doesn't land like it did before. On just .5 I once lost 70 lbs in ten months. Currently 2.0.

Oh no, sorry to hear that! After the initial couple of shots I never felt more pain. Last month I paused briefly (a two week cruise, and hauling meds that need refrigeration seemed like a hassle, plus I gained just 3 pounds in those two weeks!), but I'm back on. Still at my starting .25mg dose, 17 pounds down as of this morning.

Same, I had to pause and just started again, zero loss so far. I'm raising the dose in small steps so the side effects stay away, hoping the loss kicks in.
