FDA cracking down on generics?

I doubt it'll change much, but I wish they'd focus on the REAL problems like fentanyl before worrying about this stuff. But I guess "Big Fentanyl" doesn't have the lobbying power that Big Pharma does.

Is there a list of all the lawmakers involved? I wanna check their donation records and see how much money they've gotten from big pharma.

I guarantee they're taking marching orders from Novo and Eli Lilly. Nobody does anything for free.

Eighty lawmakers suddenly giving a crap about weight loss drugs and us regular folks? Please.

Just stock up now. I wonder about using a PO box in Mexico...

EDIT: Dan Crenshaw? Eli Lilly donated to his campaign. Eric Swalwell? Eli Lilly donated to him too.

Exactly! Where was this concern when fentanyl was the big problem? That's killing thousands every year. What exactly are these "illegal" GLP-1s doing... besides helping people lose some pounds?

Dirtbags (it took two separate posts to even list them all).

I found this: A 2020 report showed that over two-thirds of Congress took money from pharmaceutical companies that year—shows how much influence the industry has.

Here’s what I found about the list:

Multiple members on your list have accepted campaign contributions from pharmaceutical‑related groups and employees...

Oh, let's not forget they probably have investments in these companies too. So I don't wanna hear them pretending to protect us from "evil Chinese grey market products."

I'm really hoping this doesn't affect my access to compounded medications. I've been using a compounded testosterone cream, and it's been a game-changer for me. If they restrict compounding pharmacies too much, it will push people to unsafe options. I've posted in C-0022-Drug Industry category asking them not to overly regulate compounding pharmacies.

It's all about money and control. I bet Big Pharma is lobbying hard to shut down compounding pharmacies and any competition from overseas. It's disgusting.

That's my concern too! I use a compounding pharmacy, and I'm really happy with my current meds. I saw something about the FDA asking for public comments on compounding pharmacies. We should all submit comments and let them know that we don't want more restrictions.

Maybe if the FDA wasn't trying to make it so hard to get medications from compounding pharmacies, people wouldn't be looking at overseas options in the first place!
