Hey everyone, first time posting! Just wanted to share that I finally dipped below 300lbs for the first time since '22!!!

Starting weight: 326.9lbs on Dec 1st
Goal weight: 150lbs
Weight lost so far: 27.3lbs

Started cleaning up my diet on Dec 1st, and started semaglutide through an online clinic on Dec 6th.

Still not ready to share before/after pics, maybe when I'm under 280lbs and closer to that 50lbs lost mark!

Hi! I'm 58, 5'10", and currently around 225lbs. I just started my journey last week and I've already lost about 5lbs. I've been stuck around 225lbs for what feels like forever and slowly gained over the years. I can't even remember the last time I was under 200lbs, but I'm looking forward to it.

I also took some before pics and I'm happy to share them once I've made more progress, like getting under 200lbs.

I just went below 300 yesterday for the first time in like 3 years. Also yesterday made 100 pounds lost! Keep up the good working! You're crushing it.

That's fantastic! Major congrats!
I made a Reddit account just to join and read this thread. I’m considering trying semaglutide, but I’m feeling a bit anxious about it.
From what I've read, some people can stay on a lower dose as long as they continue to see results.

So happy for you! I started at 381 in September and I'm down to 328 so far. It's like a new beginning! I'm an older woman, so I'm thrilled I can lose weight this quickly!

I was nervous too. It's a weird thing putting something new in your body. Just listen to your body and talk to your doc. I did a telehealth thing to get mine, pretty easy.

Thanks. I'm mostly worried about the nausea and vomiting I've heard about. Any tips?

I had some slight nausea at first, but never actually threw up. Staying away from greasy foods and not overeating really helped. If I felt full after a small portion, I stopped eating. Also, DRINK WATER! Like half your weight in ounces every day. It's a lot but it's vital.

Just started GLP-1s? Definitely talk to your pharmacist. It calmed my nerves a ton. A lot of people have minimal side effects, so try not to stress too much! Listen to your body – how you feel after eating certain foods or amounts of food. If you get nauseous, ask your doctor for a prescription.
