Finally feeling normal around food!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Been on ozempic a week and already lost two kilos! Was nervous about side effects but wanted to kill the binge eating more than anything. Food noise is way quieter. Still eating fine, just choosing better and feeling satisfied with less.

PCOS-driven appetite is one of the mechanisms GLP-1 addresses directly. Feeling satisfied and indifferent to food is the result, not just the goal.

The wave pattern is common - suppression builds across weeks rather than staying flat, and PCOS insulin sensitivity makes the variation more pronounced.

The day one doubt before the first meal after pinning is the common story. Most people go to bed thinking nothing happened and then sit down the next morning and realize something changed. Four months in and still in that zone is exactly how it is supposed to work.

The 'actively remind yourself to eat' phase is a weird adjustment when you're not used to it. The medication doing exactly what it's supposed to and suddenly food just not in your head - it catches people off guard. Sounds like it's working exactly right.

The 'hungry but not urgent' description is the most accurate way people describe it. PCOS and the appetite dysregulation that comes with it is a real mechanism, not just willpower. That shift from obsessive food thoughts to just... normal hunger is exactly what most people here are hoping for.

This is genuinely amazing, congratulations! Living somewhere with constant new food options everywhere makes this especially tricky. Basically rediscovering the whole city without treating food as the main attraction, and it's quite the experience.

Feeling good, nothing's really shifted yet. Woke up hungry so had some yogurt, cottage cheese, chia seeds, and fresh berries. Might even manage a liquid lunch today!

You're absolutely right, already feels different honestly. Wife just got fast food delivered and I straight up left the room, disgusted. Me, avoiding fast food! Never thought I'd see the day.

Yeah, genuinely interesting experience so far. Meals wrap up a lot sooner these days, and honestly already feeling noticeably less fatigued overall. Unlike straight dieting, this doesn't seem to bring along that obsessive food-thought spiral either. Might've just been overloading my system with calories and junk before.

Used to eat incredibly fast, not exactly ideal on this medication, ha. Now I eat much more slowly, and once I'm full I don't feel overstuffed the way I used to.

Logging today's food. What I had:

two boiled eggs
cottage cheese
Greek yogurt
sliced deli ham
fiber seeds
potato
mixed salad with dressing
flank steak

All together roughly 1700 calories.
Never before have I finished a genuinely small dinner and not felt hungry, actually felt close to full.
Still can't wrap my head around feeling this way just ten hours out from that very first injection.
