The OB seeing it frequently tracks with how commonly this comes up now - the medication was improving insulin resistance and hormonal function in ways that increased fertility, so the outcome isn't surprising even if the timing was. Stopping immediately on confirmation is the universal guidance.

Yeah, medication sensitivity and PCOS together make the early months on Ozempic genuinely rough for some people. The OP at 36 with PCOS and T2D and the pregnancy outcome is the result of exactly the metabolic correction the medication provides. The insulin resistance piece that improves on sema is what restores the hormonal environment. Hope the pregnancy is going well.

No evidence exists simply because nobody's studied this specifically, important to point out. OP, might be worth reaching out directly to the manufacturer, a lot of these companies run pregnancy registries collecting exactly this kind of data.

Got an 8 month old ozempic baby myself. Search the sub and you'll find hundreds of us, babies all doing great. Stop taking it now and yours will be fine too. Congrats!

Got told the same thing, but fertility treatment was never financially realistic for my spouse and me. This medication has genuinely been life changing, and so happy for you and your little ones too, what a gift.

Would be genuinely careful about getting pregnant unexpectedly during a Mounjaro course, newer studies suggest it could pose risks to the pregnancy and the baby. Personally I'd run it for about a year and a half using solid contraception, then start trying to conceive after that.

Wasn't even trying for fertility reasons, didn't know there was a whole oxempic babies thing lol. Quit the pill right before this since it was packing on weight for me. Had pretty much made peace with it not happening for us. So happy now though!

Oof, sorry it's been such a struggle. In my case, before pausing ozempic for pregnancy, I stayed at 0.5 mostly to keep costs down since the higher amount was out of reach. Restarted right back at 0.5, roughly two months total now, and just moved to 0.75 last week. Could you maybe need more time sitting at the lowest amount? Really hoping you find something that works soon!

Just a heads-up that Ozempic tends to underperform compared to the dual-action options, since it only targets one receptor pathway versus the combined mechanism others use. Like someone else mentioned, it could tie back to a metabolic condition, or if PCOS is in the picture, loss commonly moves slower for those cases. Not sure your age, but if perimenopause or menopause is anywhere nearby, sometimes pairing transdermal hormone therapy with Mounjaro makes the real difference.
But I completely get the frustration. Feels like constantly someone wants to shed ten pounds and jumps straight to a serious, often permanent medication for it. Genuinely irritating. It's a remarkable drug though. Changed my life, probably extended it too, but if the goal is just ten pounds, that's really a job for diet adjustments first. Staying consistent nutritionally and metabolically, and if the weight still creeps back despite that, then maybe medication makes sense. That said, plenty get prescribed purely for type 2 diabetes without carrying much extra weight at all. Getting a script isn't hard at all in many regions though. A few countries overseas have made these rules noticeably stricter these days, most of them typically requiring

Same boat here, dealt with PMOS and ended up pregnant a few months into ozempic (paired with metformin). Spent close to two years before that either trying or not really trying.
