Fine to stay on a low dose?

My doc is cool with me chilling on each dose for like, 2-3 months, and bumping it up by baby steps. Been at it for about half a year, shed almost 40. Listen to your body!

Don't rush to increase your dosage until you absolutely need to. I've been on this since late 2023, and so far I've shed more than 100lbs, and I'm still not even close to the highest dose.

Hubby's been cruising on the lowest dose for half a year now, still seeing results. Definitely chat with your doc, since they should be in the loop for medical stuff.

Hey OP! If things are moving at a good pace and your body's happy, no need to jump up just because the schedule says so. Upping the dose is usually about it still working or if you can tolerate it, not about how quickly you can get to the top. 2.5 lbs a week on a starter dose is great. Faster isn’t always better if you want to keep it off.

Have a chat with your doctor about staying put for now and seeing how things go. Good luck!

Yeah, stay on the lowest dose that works. I never went above the starter dose myself. It should be whatever works for you and your body.

I stuck with each dose for like 3 months, still dropped weight and had minimal side effects! Dropped a hundred in just over a year, and I only ever hit 1.7!

Definitely bring up slowing down with your doc. I decided to stop at the 1mg dose, and it's been doing the trick for me.

Some folks lose super quick on low doses. I read a thread where someone lost like, 3 lbs the first week on the baby dose, another dropped 40 without going past .5! Wish I had that experience!

Been on this for 10 weeks and I haven't even lost a single pound!!!

Don't get disheartened @keep-going. I have patients who don't start seeing real change until they hit the higher doses of 1 or 2mg. Your A1c might also be a factor.

I'm about 5 months in and things are going super well. My doc is suggesting a bump to 5mg, and I think it's a good idea since the food noise is creeping back and I get a little hungry on 2.5 now. Feels like I'm relearning how to manage it, which isn't all bad!
