First Mounjaro injection today - so painless I'm not sure it went in. Anyone else?

Just did my first mounjaro injection today and honestly it was so painless I'm half convinced it didn't actually go in properly. Followed the instructions carefully, heard all the clicks, but barely felt a thing the whole time. Kind of expected at least a little sting given everything I've read. Did anyone else have this happen with their first shot, or should I be double checking something went wrong?

Oh completely relatable! Was genuinely panicking before that first injection and then, nothing happened! Had some stinging sensations since, but it's routine now, ha.

Appreciate it. Prefer needle attachments similar to one particular pen style. Wasn't a fan of the single fixed injection style from the other. Barely registered anything from the needle whatsoever.

Made a habit of watching a walkthrough video ahead of roughly the first half-dozen doses. Nerve-wracking going in, sure, but honestly the dread beforehand outweighs the actual moment by a mile. First time it happened, ended up cracking up because there was almost nothing to feel, just a faint pinch. Mum deals with genuine needle phobia after years of regular RA treatments, so walking into that first dose left her shaking, and the job ended up falling to me. Once it was over she just blurted 'that's really it?' and has handled every dose solo since!

One thing worth sharing, position your thumb and palm higher up the barrel, that makes pressing the purple plunger on the kwikpen noticeably less effort. Bumping up to 2.5 on a stronger pen made things even smoother too, since the amount dispensed shrinks along with how far the plunger has to travel.
