Been thinking a lot about that constant food chatter people describe after starting these medications, trying to work out what's happening under the hood. Came across a paper framing it as more than plain hunger, an ongoing pull toward eating driven by attention, reward circuitry, and old habits layered together, conceptual rather than a trial, but genuinely thought-provoking. There's also a popular idea that excess weight comes from the body protecting a certain baseline, so losing pounds triggers pushback through stronger cravings. Wondering whether these describe the same thing two ways. Is that chatter just what defending a set point feels like subjectively, or genuinely two separate things? Personally I've noticed a split between actual hunger and this chatter. Real hunger creeps up slowly and feels physical, while the chatter arrives suddenly and feels more like a repeating loop. Since starting treatment, that loop's gone quiet a lot. Curious what everyone's noticed here.
