I'm always a bit wary of meds that hang around for extended periods... especially when some folks struggle to dial in their weekly dosages.

You're probably right, it's always something to consider.

Personally, if I had the choice between a daily pill and a once-a-month injection, I'd lean towards the monthly shot. At least once I got my dosage right and didn't need to tweak it.

I read that the patent is expiring in certain countries. The projected manufacturing cost is around $3.00 per month. Wonder how that will affect prices?

Wow, $3 a month to produce? That's wild. Even with markups, it should bring the retail costs down significantly, hopefully making it more accessible to people.

I'm a bit concerned about the long-term effects of a medication that stays in your system for a whole month. We've seen what happens when people push the weekly dosages too far. More data is needed before I'd be comfortable recommending this to my patients.

I hear the EU approved a higher dose of Wegovy (7.2mg) . Hopefully, this means they'll increase the dose for other meds like Ozempic. I know someone who's been on it for years and said it doesn't work as well anymore.

Interesting point about the tolerance. I wonder if that's a common experience. I'm just starting to use these medications, so I'm still learning a lot.
