GHK-Cu: PBS vs. BAC water?

I've read that when GHK-Cu is mixed with BAC water, it might not work as well because it loses its copper. Does anyone know if this is true? Should I get PBS instead of BAC?

I haven't heard that before. Can you share where you read that? I've always been told that BAC water is best for mixing it. Also, if you use sterile PBS, remember there isn't a preservative in it so you can't store your peptides in it for long.

Wow, really? What improvements have you seen? I'm only taking tirzepatide right now, but I'm researching peptides for better skin. I have eczema and some rosacea. I never thought about using peptides on topicals!

Has anyone noticed their hair getting oily from GHK-Cu? I'm in my sixties, and my hair is much healthier now, but it gets oily by the end of the day.

That's great to know! What dosage did you start with, and what are you using now? I'd like to try it, but I don't want to have to inject it daily. Once a week for tirz is easy, but more than that is a pain.

I inject multiple times a day, sometimes up to six times! I started with 1mg, but it stung. Then I added KPV. Now I'm at 2mg of copper, 1mg of basic, and 800mcg of KPV each day, split into two doses.

Copper ions can react pretty easily, and PBS helps keep them stable with its pH. It keeps the copper from turning into something else. Bacteriostatic water doesn't have this, so the copper could change, especially if it's exposed to air for a long time.

lol I saw that same idea on another forum.

If I mix a 50mg vial with 3 ml of PBS and inject 4.5-5 mg a day, it’ll last 10-12 days. Would it degrade in that time?

It's not just about degradation. You need to make sure your PBS has a preservative and is meant for multiple uses. If you don't like benzyl alcohol, you need to find PBS with a preservative. At least get USP sterile PBS for one-time use, because non-sterile is dangerous.

Cool, same here.

I think it loses potency after five days and becomes ineffective after seven, but that's with BAC water. Maybe PBS keeps it fresh longer. I wouldn't keep it for more than a week. Personally, I'd rather be safe and only mix five days' worth. Or you could use single-use vials. Or just keep it until it gets cloudy lol.

Hope it works out! Using new vials is annoying, but I want more reports before keeping it that long. Does it sting when you inject?

Yep, it stings. It depends on how I hold my skin and inject it. Where did you read that GHK-Cu degrades after five days?

GHK-Cu's reputation is based on a Reddit thread with progress pics of an older woman using it. I wouldn't be shocked if she got fillers.

It's just the copper part that breaks down, leaving just GHK. It still works ok, but you don't get the copper benefits. Someone on those forums said it, so who knows lol.

I'm trying to figure out how much BAC water to add to my vials. I have a 5mg Ipamorelin vial and want to take 300mcgs twice a day. How much water should I add?
