GHK-Cu soreness - any tricks?

Poked myself with GHK-Cu last night around 11pm. Used 12 units, which was 2mg. Added a bit more water to the vial hoping it wouldn't sting. It was at room temp. Just one shot, sub-q in my gut. Did it carefully. Zero burn, sting, or anything weird during the injection! Slept fine. Woke up with no marks, swelling, or itchiness. But I do have a mild but noticeable ache about the size of my palm. I searched online but couldn't find much except one thing that said it's normal inflammation from the copper. I'm using an ice pack now. Trying to decide if I wanna deal with achiness for months. Any ideas on a better spot to inject? Maybe a smaller dose? Should I massage it? Any advice super appreciated. Thanks!

Try mixing with some lido or using sodium bicarbonate to get the pH up to around 7.5 or 8. That should help. There are a LOT of past posts about this. You can search and find them.

Just FYI:

GHK-Cu is happiest between pH 4.5 and 7.4.

Too low (acidic) or too high (basic) and the peptide falls apart from the copper.

It's okay in water for awhile in that range, but too much of the extremes could be an issue.

I do have SB tablets. I could try to make a solution. I also have some acetic acid, would that work? And what would the ratios be? I'm assuming only for the shot, not the whole vial.

Yeah, it's definitely an uncomfortable shot. I had trouble injecting in my side, stomach, and leg. Someone told me they had good results injecting in the side of their rear. So, after adding an extra 2ml of water to my mixed GHK-Cu I tried it. (I had only injected 3x before adding more water so I knew the dose wouldn't change much.)

Sometimes I feel something later, but it's not bad or distracting.

I've also heard that using a numbing wipe before injecting and using a massager after helps a lot.

Lots of good info here.

So much great info! I'm gonna try injecting in my butt area today. But I'm dreading it 😭 Yesterday's dull ache was awful. Felt like I got punched in the gut. And I was super tired too. Oh well. No pain, no gain 🤷‍♀️

Good luck! I had way better luck with glute shots, but my partner still had pain. I might be able to get her to try again with the lido, but she had bad pain from it 3 times so I don't know if she'll agree 🙁

If she does try again, the 4th time was the charm for me. Try numbing wipes before the shot and a massage gun after. I've heard that's a good combo for some people.

I would like to add that it may be beneficial to add probiotics. It really depends on what the issue is, but I recommend starting with yogurt first.

Regarding the GHK-Cu injection spot, I've heard some folks have success rotating injection sites to minimize localized reactions. Maybe try alternating between glutes and thighs?

I had a bad reaction to sermorelin shots. Wondering if anyone had any experience with sermorelin troches instead? It comes in tablet form.

Maybe try a smaller needle? Or warming the area before injecting? Just spitballin' ideas here. I know injection pain sucks.
