GLP-1 costs got you down?

Those tariffs really hiked up the price for folks in the UK. Used to be around £130, now it's tripled! And some people still cheer for that guy. Unbelievable.

Sometimes I feel like I need to apologize for the state of things. I'm kinda ashamed of what's happening with our government. My family actively protests and participates in local politics, so we're trying to do our part.

Just checked prices here in Canada. I'm paying $473, about £253, for a 2.5mg pen. 5mg is $519 (£277), 7.5mg is $712 (£380), 10mg is $836 (£447), and 12.5mg is $1018 (£544). It's insane! But worth it, at least short-term. Once I'm at a healthier weight, and with serious lifestyle changes, I don't think I'll need it anymore. Seeing a therapist to address any underlying issues contributing to the weight gain is also key.

Okay, let's get political for a sec. In the UK, loads of people pay taxes and NHS contributions, but the NHS often won't give them this med because they don't tick all the boxes. So many have to pay the full price themselves to get healthy. And when Trump jacked up the prices, he didn't care about the impact on those people. It's not just about weight; it's about mental health and body image issues. If you wanna raise prices, fine, but make it affordable for those who need it. These meds aren't just for weight loss; they're a lifeline for people who've been let down by the system. Healthcare should be free for everyone! Doctors shouldn't profit from other people's pain.

I had a neighbor compliment my weight loss the other day. When I mentioned it was thanks to medication, they asked if that wasn't "cheating." Like, are you serious? I should've asked them, "
